(idm) in defense of disc (my feeling's are very hurt by a comparison to the haters:)

dear idm people-hi there, kid-606 here and I just wanting to get some things
off my chest about some comments I read about disc that a friend forwarded me.
I can only speak for myself cause lesser is out of town and I never talk to
drew about this sort of stuff cause he is a real close friend and we probably
don't agree anyway. I hope this doesn't sound to bitchy cause I hate it when
people get bent up over other people saying there music sucks. first off disc
is in no way an "art prank" and I listen to skipping cd's all the time and
have since I was like fourteen. Lot's of people in san diego have been doing
this. I hate the idea of people wasting money on artpranks and "concept music.
Bogus experimental music that wannabe hipsters buy to look cool but never
listen pisses me off. I think the haters are whack and live they are probably
even whacker (anyone who would see them more than once must have very little
to do.). disc is for listening and I think it sounds great (I hated listening
to cd's kipping at first but after a while it sounded magical to me.). There
is a lot more to disc than what has been available, we've only released stuff
for around for six months so if you care about what we are up to just wait and
see where it goes (now would be a good time to plug the new disc cd "brave2ep"
and locked grooves 12" called "transfer" should be out in october, both will
definitely be different:). please don't compare disc to the haters cause it
bugs me enough that we are on the same label especially since they seem to be
releasing the same record over and over again. also none of us get stoned and
make disc material in an afternoon. I spend way to much time on it and am
super anal about it. I have taken enough of your guys time so I will shut up
now( I am sure j and drew will just think I am dumb for saying as much as i
did:)

P.S. Vinyl Communications is admittedly SUPER FUCKED but that's why it rocks.
The bad releases in the past have no relevance to any new releases and there
are way to many indivuals with there own ideas for it to be a genre label.
think of it as all the kid's in high school who got picked on because they are
different joining together to try to and be something and show everyone off
but realizing that the only thing they have in common is that they are
different and they don't even agree with each other. god that sounds stupid, I
need to get more sleep:P
